On this 6-day, 5-night tour of Morocco starting in Tangier, you will experience the country like never before. Your journey begins in Tangier where you will visit the Cape Spartel and Hercules Cave. Then, you will traverse the Rif Mountains, stroll through the picturesque blue city of Chefchaouen, and explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
The tour also encompasses visits to Fes and Meknes for sightseeing, as well as a trip to the Swiss-like town of Ifrane and the Cedars Forest. You will have the opportunity to ride camels and admire the stunning sunsets and sunrises in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Take a walk through the magnificent Todra and Dades Gorges, and visit historical Kasbahs. Your tour also includes a crossing of the high Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass before ending in Marrakech.

Tour Plan

1st day: Arrival to Tangier – Chefchaouen

On the first day of your 6-day Morocco tour from Tangier, we will pick you up from your preferred location, whether it be your accommodation, the airport, or the port. The city of Tangier, also known as "the bride of the north," is situated at the point where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean at Cape Spartel.
We will start our day by exploring the beautiful city of Tangier, visiting the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel. After a free time for lunch, we will head inland to Chefchaouen, passing through the city of Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, making stops along the way for panoramic views. Our overnight stay will be in a hotel in Chefchaouen

2nd day: Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis- Meknes – Fes

After a delicious breakfast, you will have the opportunity to wander through the charming alleyways of the blue city of Chefchaouen. Then, we will drive to visit the historic Roman ruins of Volubilis. These well-preserved ruins, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, feature stunning mosaics and beautiful ancient pillars and archways.

After exploring the ruins, we will drive 30 km to visit Meknes, one of the imperial cities and the former Ismaili capital. During our visit, we will see the Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. From there, we will head to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional Riad.

3rd day: guided tour sightseeing Fes

After a tasty breakfast, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes to explore this magnificent city. As one of the imperial cities and the cultural and religious center of Morocco, Fes is a city rich in history and tradition.
Our day will begin with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, followed by a tour of the well-preserved medieval Medina, a World Heritage Site listed by UNESCO. The Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, serves as the entrance to the old Medina, which you will explore with a local guide. During your tour, you will see the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the oldest university in the world.
After exploring the Medina, we will leave to visit the Jewish quarter known as "the Mellah." Then, we will drive to an ancient fortress to take in panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. At the end of the day, we will return to your Riad.

4th day: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

After a delicious breakfast, the 6 day Morocco tour from Tangier sets off towards the south, making a stop at Imouzzer. From there, you will visit the stunning town of Ifrane, known for its cool weather, snow, and alpine-style homes. This is why it's called the "Switzerland of Morocco." Afterwards, you will visit the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary macaques. You will have the opportunity to feed them as you stroll through the forest. Then, you will head to Midelt where you will have some free time for lunch. After that, you will journey through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz valley, making stops for panoramic views.
Later in the afternoon, you will arrive at the Sahara Desert of Merzouga where you will mount camels and cross the sandy desert, taking a break at the top of a high dune to witness a beautiful sunset. From there, you will proceed to the camp, which is a unique combination of traditional nomad tents and modern-day luxury. At the camp, you can enjoy the rhythm of Berber drums, dance under the stars, and marvel at the vast open sky. Overnight accommodation is provided at the camp.

5th day: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

On the following morning, be ready to witness the mesmerizing sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, we embark on a journey to explore the town of Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a bustling trade center with a lively souk that comes to life on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Take a stroll through the bustling souk, and then head over to Erfoud to visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble. From there, we will pass through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved a magnificent canyon through the mountains, making it a popular spot for rock climbing. Take some time to appreciate the breathtaking scenery and go for a walk in the gorges. Have lunch at a local restaurant, and then continue on to the Dades valley through Boumalne Dades. Don't miss out on stopping to see the "monkey fingers" rock formation, and take in the panoramic views of the Dades valley from a spot atop a mountain. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

6th day : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakesh

After breakfast, the 6-day Morocco tour from Tangier proceeds to the charming town of Kalaa Magouna. The main attraction in this town is the Rose Valley, which holds an annual Rose Festival in May. During this festival, locals showcase and sell their rose-based products, including perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetic products.

Next, we journey through the picturesque palm groves of Skoura and visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle. Our next destination is the city of Ouarzazate, which is famous for its film studios. We will visit these studios and also the Taourirt Kasbah.

From Ouarzazate, we embark on a visit to the stunning Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This fortified village has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and has been a backdrop for several famous movies, such as "Gladiator," "Alexander," and "The Mummy," as well as the TV series "Game of Thrones." Following our visit to Ait Ben Haddou, we will also tour the Telouet Kasbah.

The final leg of our tour takes us through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop for lunch and to take photos at scenic spots along the way. Finally, we will drop you off at your Riad in Marrakesh, marking the end of the 6-day Morocco tour from Tangier.
